In an effort to help improve sales for customers needing shorter lead times we have introduced Expedited shipping options on the website.
Expedited shipping is a great new way to have an option live on site that can be booked and paid for quickly by customers needing a shorter lead time. Offering expedited shipping can help you capture more eligible events with shipments.
Below is the distribution of event lead time for purchases prior to the introduction of expedited shipping as a purchase option and we expect the number with shorter lead time to increase as more options are made available for purchase with a shorter lead time.

How to Setup Expedited Shipping
To offer expedited shipping you can submit the Expedited Shipping Spec Sheet to hosts@bookelevent.com
Standard Shipping Option (required)
All virtual event listings with shipments must have 1 standard shipping offering that includes shipping bundled into the event price and shows as Free Shipping on the listing.
Below is how the event page will look with shipping method not selected where it will show the standard lead time and free shipping.

As shown below customers will be able to select standard shipping from the dropdown in addition to any additional shipping methods you choose to make available.
Expedited Shipping Fields
To setup expedited shipping you will need to define the below 3 fields for each method and listing.

1) Shipping Method Name (e.g. Expedited, 2 day, Express, etc.)
This is what will appear in the dropdown that the customer selects
2) Lead Time
The number of total days including non-business days that you need addresses before shipping with this expedited method.
3) Expedited shipping price - (Host Payout of 95% of price for expedited shipping)
Expedited Shipping is processed at a reduced 5% commission for Elevent to cover processing costs. You will receive 95% of the price you put in this column as your host payout.
This will change all of the fields on the listing when selected as shown in the 2 examples below.
